Washburn Center for Children - a nonprofit that has served the Twin Cities community for 128 years - is the state’s leading children’s mental health center, caring for children experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression and learning difficulties.
A parent or teacher wouldn’t think twice about getting help for a child suffering from a physical injury. Washburn Center for Children ensures caregivers also have a resource to help kids who are hurting “on the inside” - because children’s mental health is as important as their physical health.
The Washburn Games is a sports sampler where kids can try 20 different sports activities in a fun, non-competitive environment. Hockey, lacrosse, yoga, karate, cricket – kids get to try it all AND help kids their own age by raising funds for Washburn Center for Children.
By supporting Washburn Center for Children, you help children with social, emotional and behavioral problems grow into healthy adults. Participants in The Washburn Games get to have a fun afternoon – and give back to the community!
